Susan Beard

Susan Beard lived in Sweden for sixteen years before returning to live in the UK. She has a Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists and an MA in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia. Books translated include Thin Ice by Mikael Engström (Little Island 2011), and Me on the Floor, Bleeding by Jenny Jägerfeld, (Stockholm Text, July 2013). Her most recent translation, Stallo, is a 600-page thriller by Stefan Spjut due to be published by Faber and Faber in spring 2014. She also works as an examiner for the Institute of Linguists.
