Rita Nezami

Rita Nezami translated Tahar Ben Jelloun’s L’Ecrivain public/The Public Scribe, for which she received the 2005 ALTA fellowship award. The Dirty Goat published her translation of Ben Jelloun’s short story, ‘L’Amour fou’ (‘Mad Love’), in 2010. Her scholarly presentations include papers about various aspects of Ben Jelloun’s work, including masculinity, oppression, marginality, illegal immigration and the Arab Spring. Her translation of Ben Jelloun’s novella, Par le feu/By Fire, is pending publication in the US .
