Catherine Phil MacCarthy received the inaugural Yeats Thoor Ballylee International Poetry Prize in 2023 for her poem ‘Emblems’. In 2022, she was awarded a residency at Varuna, the National Writers’ House in Australia, to work on her sixth collection, Catching Sight.
