The Stinging Fly is a registered charity. Our ambition as an organisation is to remain at the heart of literary life in Ireland, nurturing new writers and continuing to share exceptional new writing with readers throughout the world.

Friends of The Fly help to support all of the work that we do: not only our publications but also our writer development programme, which offers opportunities for new and emerging writers to hone their craft via mentorships, seminars and workshops. Any money you contribute will allow us to:
— maintain our free, open submission policy for every issue of the magazine;
— pay all our writers fairly for their work and to steadily increase the amounts we pay;
— continue to provide concession rates and free places for writers on low income participating in our workshops and seminars.
