We are delighted to team up with Bristol Translates online summer school to offer a bursary to an emerging literary translator based on the island of Ireland.
Aimed at practising translators at any stage of their career and at language enthusiasts who want to explore the world of literary translation, Bristol Translates, which runs from 1 to 5 July 2024, offers the opportunity to work with leading professional translators to translate texts across different literary genres.
Bursary eligibility: emerging literary translators based on the island of Ireland (both Irish nationals and residents) working from one of the languages of the summer school. For full details of the language workshops, programme and tutors, click here.

Please send a letter (maximum 400 words) outlining your motivation for attending the summer school and why you are in need of a bursary.
