On Thursday, June 14th, our publisher and founding editor, Declan Meade, will take part in a discussion about the legacy and continuing importance of so-called ‘little magazines’. Joining Declan on the panel will be Tara McEvoy of The Tangerine, and Laura Cassidy of Banshee. The discussion will be chaired by Susan Tomaselli, editor of gorse. They will be discussing everything from the fascinating history of serialisation and the literary periodical to the recent resurgence of the form in contemporary Ireland.
Organised by the James Joyce Centre as part of the Bloomsday festival, the event will take place in James Joyce’s alma mater, Belvedere College. Tickets are priced at €15, and are available from the Bloomsday festival website.
