One Dublin One Book is a Dublin City Council initiative co-ordinated by Dublin UNESCO City of Literature and Dublin City Libraries. For the past 20 years, the campaign has encouraged all Dubliners to read a chosen book every April.
Dublin, Written In Our Hearts has been specially commissioned as the chosen book for 2025.

From the Foreword:
Dublin, Written In Our Hearts was commissioned to showcase the work of some of the many writers who have been writing about the city during the first quarter of the 21st century. It offers a unique snapshot in time, a celebration of the various different styles and approaches adopted by writers whose work continues to be inspired and animated by the city.
Dublin City Council is grateful to the twenty-two writers and poets who have kindly contributed their work to this collection. A special word of gratitude to Declan Meade and his team at The Stinging Fly for editing and publishing the book. Sincere thanks must also go to all those in the Dublin UNESCO City of Literature office and Dublin City Libraries who work with great flair and imagination on the One Dublin One Book campaign each year.
The main objectives of any reading campaign are to put a good book into a reader’s hand and to encourage others to pick up the book and to stretch their imaginations. Without the loyal following of the city‘s readers, One Dublin One Book could never have been such a wonderful success. We applaud all our readers and book lovers across the city. We hope you’ll enjoy this special anniversary collection.
