Ingeborg Bachmann

Ingeborg Bachmann was born in Austria in 1926 and is best known for the poems collected in Die gestundete Zeit (1953) and Anrufung des Groflen Baren (1956). She provided the libretti for a number of musical projects, wrote and produced radio plays, two collections of short stories and what was realised of a planned trilogy of novels, Todesarten. She died in 1973.
