Vasyl Gabor is a well-known Ukrainian journalist, short story writer and compiler of anthologies of contemporary writing. He was awarded both the Kurylas Family Prize and Kovalev Literary Prize. Gabor’s short stories have been translated into English, German, Serbian, Slovak, Croatian, Czech, Japanese and Bulgarian; principally A Book of Exotic Dreams and Real Events, Lviv, Piramida, 2012.
